The human skull redefined as a simplistic industrial form. Modelled in CAD, 3d printed and then cast in porcelain with the same techniques used for over a thousand years, a play on old and new. A personal exploration into the meaning of design, an object without function except as a reflection on the human condition. Covered in imagery ranging from an old anatomical engraving, a17th century portrait of William Shakespeare to Alan Turing's mathematical patterns investigating Morphogenesis – literally, "beginning of the shape”.
